PENTECOST

This Sunday, June 4th, our church will gather along with Christians all over the world to celebrate the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples of our Lord.  In preparation for the service this Sunday, please be thinking about the work of the Holy Spirit in you:

When did you first sense the Holy Spirit stirring in your heart?

Through whom has the Holy Spirit worked to touch your life?

How has the working of the Holy Spirit changed you?

Your story of God working in your life needn't be a spectacular one...the makings of a smash hit Broadway play or Hollywood movie.  The most important thing is that it's YOUR story--and it's GOD'S story in your life--for the outpouring of the Spirit only BEGAN on the Day of Pentecost.  It hasn't ended yet, praise God!

SUMMER  MIDWEEK SERVICES

We're planning something different this year.  In addition to our regular 10 o'clock Sunday services there will also be an opportunity during the months of June, July, and August to worship on Wednesdays at 7 PM.  The Wednesday gathering will not be a repeated form of the Sunday service, as the summer weeknight services were in previous years.  They will be altogether different, so you are invited to come to both Sunday morning and Wednesday midweek services.  Sunday service will be the traditional Service with Holy Communion.  Wednesday evening's gathering will be Evening Prayer, and will be a spoken service of word and prayer, based on an entirely different series of readings.  Wednesday services will begin June 7th.
